Choosing a wedding venue is a big deal. Where you get married impacts so much of your day! It can drastically shift the overall feel for your day, the number of people you can invite and it can dictate your dress and decoration choices. Now, being a wedding photographer, I’ve had the pleasure of photographing at many venues. Most being in the San Antonio area.

01. Horseshoe Bay Resort

Horseshoe Bay resort is perfect for those wanting a more tropical vibe on their day. It’s just a short drive from Austin and San Antonio so it’s great for your out-of-state guests to be able to explore while they are visiting. This venue has multiple event spaces with both inside and outside options. I personally love the outdoor ceremony space because you get the gorgeous bay in the background and also palm trees for that beachy feel.

02. Lost Mission

Lost Mission is a gorgeous wedding venue in Spring Branch, Texas. There is a chapel at this venue so it’s great for couples who want a more traditional ceremony. There are also indoor and outdoor options at Lost Mission including a patio and a modern reception hall. The reception hall can accommodate up to 400 guests and also offers a fireplace and a really fun built-in bar.

03. The Chandelier of Gruene

The Chandelier of Gruene offer so many accommodations including a chapel, reception hall, on-site lodging, suites, and so much more! This is really an all-in-one venue and is also really beautiful. There’s a bridal suite and a groom suite that are perfect for those getting ready photos. The reception hall is a barn style with a gorgeous chandelier and there’s also an outside area with a fire pit.

04. Park 31

Park 31 events venue is nestled in the heart of Texas Hill Country. Situated on 31 acres of property this venue offers so many different experiences. There are multiple places to hold your ceremony and reception. Whether you want indoor or outdoor they have both options! Park 31 has many different spots for photos and the backdrop options are endless.

05. Gruene Estate

Gruene Estate is the venue for those wanting a fully outdoor wedding day. There is an open-air chapel and pavilion that can be used for your ceremony and reception. This venue comes with rustic farm tables and chairs and also a large fire fit with lots of Adirondack chairs. There are gorgeous views through this whole venue.

06. The Preserve

The Preserve is located in Canyon Lake, Texas and it offers the most stunning views. It’s situated on a 170-acre ranch surrounded by mature trees and beautiful lakes. The ceremony area has panoramic windows which give tons of natural light to the space. This venue can hold 300+ guests so it’s the perfect spot if you’re planning a big wedding!
